Verbs and adverbs. 6. Tenses and articles. 7. Practise common phrases. 8. Sentence construction. B. Use best practises; 1. One great way to facilitate learning is to encourage students to avoid speaking languages other than English during the lesson period. This necessarily forces students to use their knowledge of English and further develop them. Providing teaching moments for teachers and learning opportunities for students. To accomplish this students will participate in oral discussions, dialogs, speeches, and general conversation. 2. In explaining an activity or giving directions about homework, classwork, or a project, i will always give both verbal and written instructions. By doing this both verbal and written instructions allows students to hear words and see them in print at the same time. This will aid in word association and in pronunciation. C. Make learning English a fun thing; 1. Using games to support learning. 2. Using visuals for teaching.
Reading will begin the very first day of class. Students will be exposed to a variety of different reading materials. Each of these materials will contain vocabulary and grammar structures that are needed for success in everyday speaking situations. The reading materials will increase in difficulty as students are progressing.
Writing in English is encouraged from the very first day. Each writing assignment will be based on the reading material from class. Students will be encouraged to expand on their ideas.
