I begin by getting a flavour for your learning style and needs over a virtual coffee, taking notes on your exam boards, current competencies, and main aims. I then proceed to design activities from word games to conversational presentations, memory fillers, and reading comprehensions, diversifying my approaches to maintain your attention, and get you working that language to its peak level! A typical English lesson for an advanced learner has looked something like this:
5-minute vocabulary filler/tongue twister for pronunciation
10-minute presentation on a topic you enjoy
15-minute discussion/dialogue with overview of grammar points and new vocabulary
10-minute review of grammar
5-minute 'sentence' picker and writing skills overview

We can spend longer or shorter on a particular activity depending on where strengths and learning priorities lie. We all have a way of learning!
There will be homework with every lesson and memory games to ensure a consolidation of material from previous sessions. My door is always open.
