I’ve lived away from my home country (Spain) since I was 8. I’ve travelled a lot and have always prioritised immersing myself in the culture and language of the countries I visit. I am a confident communicator and writer and speak 5 languages fluently. Before I travel to a new country I make sure to teach myself the basics so I can speak to locals and am often treated as a native as a result. I like translating this cultural awareness approach to my language lessons by getting students interested in media of their target language.

I am a great believer of collaboration and an have always been an autodidactic learner so our lessons will be about guiding and supporting you through your learning journey to achieve your goals in the best way for you. While I believe in reinforcing strengths, I also like to challenge students in new ways by broadening their perspective and presenting them with new cultural scenarios often. I believe a practical approach to language learning is the most effective and want to get students away from the textbooks and get them learning in unconventional ways. I am a cinephile and music lover so expect exposure to a variety of popular local flavours in our classes together.
Getting the culture shock over with in the classroom will help you know what to expect and be prepared for any situation coming your way, not only in your country of choice but also in future unforeseen travel experiences.
