My name is Ingrid Kambou Tachim and I am currently an incoming freshman at an Ivy League university majoring in Biology. I graduated from college with an Associates degree in Arts with highest honors and a 4.0 GPA. I also graduated high school with a diploma of distinction and a 5.2 GPA.

I believe I am an excellent fit for this job, mainly because I have a passion working with children. As an older sister myself with two younger siblings, I find myself having to tutor more often than not. I have expanded this passion from inside my home to my community, by participating in volunteer tutoring for multiple organizations. I also find tutoring as an excellent way to sharpen my own skills, as teaching someone, especially someone younger, is the best way to test your understanding of a subject. Finally, I am an excellent communicator, and I find it simple to be able to deliver information to a child's mind and help them understand subjects they find challenging. Simply fit, this job is perfect for my skills, and I find myself the perfect candidate for it.

I have tutored Middle School level Math and High School Geometry for 2 years. I have tutored children from all grade levels, my youngest being in 6th grade and my oldest was in the high school level. All tutoring sessions are done with a thorough and engaging PowerPoint made to encourage engagement and understanding by the student. All of my previous students have recorded amazing tutoring sessions and a more complex understanding of the topic at hand. Students are also encouraged to try out problems on their own in tutoring sessions and with homework assigned to them after each session.

I find myself to be a very organized and responsible person. I check my emails very frequently, and whenever an important one I am looking forward to finally comes, I answer it as soon as possible. I find this skill especially useful in my current role as a private tutor, where I bear the responsibility of promptly responding to emails sent to me by both the student and the student’s parents. During my free time, I find it entertaining and enjoyable to volunteer and benefit someone’s life. I find myself offering my tutoring skills to volunteer organizations more times than not, and I find this beneficial to both me and whoever I am tutoring. Volunteering brings a smile to everyone’s face, and will leave everyone involved in it with an experience they will not forget. I also enjoy traveling, and enjoy exploring new places, people and immersing myself into a different culture.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to tutoring you or your child!
