My teaching is highly personalised to tailor to the students learning style. I use interactive techniques to deliver engaging lessons to inspire inquisitive minds. I try to make learning and teaching as enjoyable as possible to encourage kids to find learning a positive experience.
My teaching techniques include picture-based learning, practice questions, essay techniques and tips, flash cards (active recall) and association learning. I also set my students homework, mainly exam style questions which we will work through the answers in the following session or diagram-based activities to learn difficult information. As a neuroscientist I have acquired a great understanding of the human mind especially when it comes to the best techniques for learning and recalling information.
I tutor double and tripple science, English, maths, French and geography (primary and GCSE). As well as biology and psychology A- level.
Throughout my education I have achieved A-A** GCSEs and AAB (biology, psychology, chemistry) at A-levels and a degree in neuroscience.
My previous students have achieved 8s and 9s in GCSE and A-A* in a-levels.
