Inderpal Sagoo

I have experience of assisting and teaching students at all levels including learning difficulties. I promote student centred provision using different resources such as pictures, reading, quizzes and assignments. All classes begin with introduction to put students at ease. I provide ongoing support and praise for students which helps motivate them to remain engaged in learning. My wide general knowledge helps to answer questions about other things and interests students may have without losing focus on the lesson and teaching. Teaching English as a Foreign Language has been a great experience as it has provided me with opportunities to teach students from diverse communities. I have always welcomed ongoing training and learning opportunities to improve my understanding and knowledge on different subject areas. As I expect punctuality, dedication and commitment from students, I have often been commended for setting a strong example for them. Listening to others is one of my strengths which provides students the opportunity to ask questions helping them to gain confidence in communication skills. At the same time where this may be difficult, I apply something I call committed empowering encouragement which has often resulted in reaching positive outcomes.
