In my three years as a private tutor and at best tutor, I have worked with students across various age groups and skill levels, tailoring lesson plans to individual needs. Additionally, my experience mentoring in secondary school and serving as a teaching assistant has honed my ability to simplify complex concepts, foster curiosity, and build confidence in learners.

Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics and its Learning with the Open University, I bring both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching strategies to my sessions. My Grade 8 GCSE Mathematics qualification underscores my strong grasp of foundational concepts, which I effectively convey to my students to help them excel academically.

What sets me apart is my dedication to creating a positive, encouraging learning environment. I believe in making math accessible and enjoyable, using interactive methods and real-world applications to engage students and deepen their understanding.

We will begin with an initial assessment to understand the student’s current skill level and identify their strengths, challenges, and goals. This allows me to create a personalized learning plan, whether the focus is improving grades, mastering challenging topics, or building confidence for exams.

Each lesson starts with a brief warm-up to review previous material or introduce a fun, engaging problem. This helps reinforce prior learning and sets a positive tone for the session. The core part of the lesson focuses on the topic at hand according to the national curriculum, where I break down concepts into manageable steps, provide clear explanations, and use interactive examples to enhance understanding. I encourage active participation by prompting students to ask questions, work through problems independently, and explain their reasoning to solidify their learning.
