My teaching style is mainly focused on children's needs, or what you could call child-centred teaching. I adapt my teaching style in order to cater for each child and make the material as interesting and relevant as possible.
I like to use group exercises, interactive PowerPoint slides and even videos where required to demonstrate my learning objectives. I believe this increases student interest significantly, and from my experience, leads to a better learning experience overall. I also like to engage students by targeting questions to individual learners in order to involve each child in the learning process and increase their confidence and self-esteem.
I am able to get along well with all types of characters and genuinely enjoy interacting with and getting to know the quirky personalities of each child in my class.
Finally, I have an approachable, inclusive style of teaching that is flexible and can differentiate my teaching and resources to cater for a diverse range of learning styles, needs and requirements.
