My lessons will be very concise and they do depend on the stage you are at in terms of your academic studies (i.e. the start of year 10). The earlier you are to pursue lessons with me, the better the coverage of the course will be! Lessons generally are useful if they are two hours long, as this gives the student I teach properly grasp a good understanding of the topics I teach, as well as teaching a few topics in a session. I will use a checklist for GCSE maths students (and give them a copy to update) and in every lesson, we will do at least a topic from the checklist. However, this varies as if you are in the middle of year 11 with average knowledge of maths, the pressure in the lessons will be much more (e.g. completing 2-3 topics with much more homework than usual). In later stages (e.g. year 11), I make sure to always ask the students I teach about their weak topics; this allows me to target them and save time by not covering easy topics. As a GCSE maths tutor with 2 years of experience, I have taught both higher tier and foundation tier, GCSE students. I am proud to say that all my students have achieved top grades (e.g. 7s and above for the higher tier, and all 5s for the foundation tier). I am very confident in my ability in teaching maths to anyone willing to learn and improve.
