I like to use an interactive format of learning, I use PowerPoints for visual aids when doing discussion based work. For high school students, I use the English curriculum to build lesson plans surrounding books that they are taught in schools currently. I currently teach functional literacy to secondary students. This is where we look at comprehension, building their reading (fiction and non-fiction), skimming and scanning skills. They are also given the chance to produce their own pieces of writing, whether that be an article or a short story. Then i give them a chance to present to the class.
For psychology, I focus on teaching GCSE and Alevel. Prepping for exams as well as building up their core content knowledge and application to real life.
