My ambition is to one day become a teacher. I have had a hugely positive experience of primary and secondary education.
My work experience allowed me to experience a life of a tutor. I enjoyed how every day is different, and each child is unique. In addition, I am also applying for an Astrophysics degree, as this would allow me to study a P.G.C.E. after completing my undergraduate studies. During my education, I have consistently enjoyed Mathematics. My favorite aspect of Mathematics is how it can be applied to any topic, from rational thinking to the spread of disease. As a volunteer of the chemistry club, I set up experiments for younger students to enjoy, furthermore, I have provided extra support for individual pupils who are underachieving in literacy and numeracy and then encouraged them to learn. My interpersonal skills have improved immensely as I have to communicate with children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 with different abilities, religions and cultures. It is both challenging and gratifying.
