I am an innovative, passionate and outstanding classroom practitioner and department leader with more than 25 years experience of teaching across the range of Humanities subjects, and while it is History teaching that excites the greatest passion within me, I also thoroughly enjoy my Geography teaching, and have successfully taught GCSE and A Level courses in Government and Politics and Sociology. In History i have taught across all of the main exam boards, i have acted as an AQA examiner at GCSE level and have developed and taught original and exciting curriculums for Key Stages 2 and 3. My experience has included many years of Humanities teaching in schools in the UK, China, and Kuwait, giving me a strong insight into developing students from many different cultural backgrounds. I am highly proficient at delivering lessons on line or face to face. I am committed to placing the needs of the individual child at the centre of my practice and inspiring them to develop a subject mastery and a lifelong passion for learning.
