I have experience teaching English to Korean students, have taken a TESOL course, and have tertiary education in Australia. I like to make my lessons easy and relatable, because I personally believe that you learn best when you are interested in what you're learning. In the past I have also tutored young students who had just moved to Australia, and were looking to improve their English listening and speaking skills to help them adjust to school. As I mentioned earlier, I strongly believe fear and loss of self confidence gets in the way of learning as much as having little base knowledge, so I catered my lessons to suit their hobbies and interests. I found that when students talk about the things they love, they become more open to talk, and are less aware of the grammatical mistakes they make. Once the students started feeling comfortable, I started introducing a few more words and expressions they could use in their conversations.
