I use Microsoft Teams as my primary teaching tool. Through this I will share my screen as I have GCSE textbooks, question banks and work papers to assist in teaching. Most lessons are split between teaching and practicing with assistance followed by an assignment for you to complete in preparation for the next lesson. I also tend to use the whiteboard function to show working out and allow you to have a clear image of what the steps should look like in your own workbook.
I have had much success through this method and it saves a lot of time and hassle as we can start and end promptly. The flexibility of online tutoring also means we are able to reschedule or book additional lessons at short notice if and when needed.
I started of tutoring when I passed my GCSE’s and continued throughout sixth form and university. Now working full time in the city I am able to use technology to make time for tutoring alongside my daily job.
