Different subjects have their own best methods.The best I experienced was on English classes.My teacher organized a game in which one student used his body language to describe a word while the other student tried to guess it.I guess the best teaching methods are those that attract the students' interests and motivate them.

Everyone like stories, a best teacher can tell story in his subject, let it be mathematics or anything .......still a story is possible no matter what subject is.
Stories born out by presence of mind
eg: when we were reading a poem, my teacher told where the tree described in the poem is in the city, its kind of rare one. And to that he added another story of how fragrant the flower of that tree is and how two student of our school died when their parents sent them curd rice in which a small snake from that flower fell into it while curd and that flower was kept in the refrigerator. And tree was just mentioned in one line which he took for more than one hour.
