My experience as a CELTA trainee and as an English Teacher for EF has given me a strong foundation in communicative language teaching and task-based learning approaches. I have demonstrated proficiency in creating structured and tailored lessons that cater to diverse student needs at beginner (children), and elementary and intermediate levels (both adults), as well as fostering a positive and culturally sensitive learning environment in-person and online.

During my time as an English Language Teacher at English First in Hangzhou, China, I honed my organisational and creative skills to develop engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum. I effectively managed classroom dynamics and student behaviour, ensuring a safe learning atmosphere for all students. My collaborative approach with co-teachers resulted student progression, with all classes achieving pass rates of 90% or above in assessments.

During my time teaching adults, I have taught at elementary and pre-intermediate levels. The online lessons were engaging and personalised to each student. I like to follow the Headway course book as a way to give each lesson structure, as well as employ a range of engaging activities; listening to videos, roleplays, and games!
