Holly Williams

I have an A Level in Psychology where I achieved an A* and currently predicted a 2:1 in my degree in Psychology. I have particularly enjoyed modules specifically about Forensic Psychology, Social Psychology, Media Psychology, Ageing Psychology and Psychopathology. My dissertation project is research on Eyewitness Testimony in First Seizure Clinics.

I have previous A Level tutoring experience, where I have helped students boost their grades from U to C and loved doing this in the past and am very excited to begin working with students again! This was achieved by revising all of the content, ensuring it was fully understood by the student, and also going through previous exam questions and papers to work on class feedback and improve upon answers. I have a particular interest in assisting SEN students - I have autism myself, and understand how education settings can prevent neurodivergent individuals from reaching their full potential. I aim to remove this barrier, allowing everyone the opportunity to receive the best grades possible.

I believe students are the expert on how they learn best, and my job is to tailor all learning to them and give the most applicable person-centred teaching experience possible! Working together to identify learning styles and identifying appropriate revision methods, I am happy to go through whatever a student needs to succeed, whether it is writing style, content or exam questions. Effective learning should be relaxed, and I aim to make sessions productive but also calm, enabling the student to fully absorb knowledge.
