Each 60-minute online session follows a supportive structure that helps you reflect, gain musical confidence and use musical exercises in a fun, collaborative and creative way. As both a music therapist and music teacher, I create a safe space for both complete beginners and those with some musical background.

We generally begin with a brief recap of any homework completed in the week, followed by more in depth work, such as creating lyrics from reflective and creative writing exercises, and creating music collaboratively using a free, collaborative music software called 'SoundTrap'. By the end of the session, I'll give you suggestions for creative, musical exercises to do at home during the week so that you can find ways to develop your musical and writing practice.

Writing a song is an involved and hugely rewarding process that helps you discover aspects of yourself, and can give you a huge sense of pride. Songs can sometimes be written in 2 sessions, sometimes 12, depending on the complexity. After our initial consultation, we'll develop a plan tailored to your specific goals and musical interests.

To do these sessions with me, all you'll need is a stable internet connection and some headphones. Instruments and microphone are a plus, but not essential!
