I will be conducting online teaching sessions so that I can offer them as flexibly as possible. These sessions will be synchronous, so that I can ensure the most engagement from each session. In the initial session, I plan to discuss their approach to the subject, what texts they are covering, and what learning styles best suit them so that I can put together resources, teaching materials, and an overall plan that best suits their needs and content. As well as this, I aim to make the student feel comfortable and accepted in the learning environment and set the goals that they wish to achieve in their learning. Once teaching has begun, I will check with them what they can remember from the previous session to ensure they are getting the best possible learning every time. Finally, I will have practice sessions once I have covered sufficient content to get them exam ready and feeling more confident in English.

I conduct myself with a calm yet passionate approach, therefore I aim to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for students to feel able to engage and thrive in. I have experience working with neurodiverse and disabled children, and I aim to make sure that every child, regardless of their needs, feels comfortable, accommodated and supported during their tutoring with me.

Homework and guidance sheets can be provided if the parent or student would like them. These will be made so that they tailored to the student's needs, abilities, and exam board, therefore they may come at an extra cost. These worksheets will encourage self-learning and practice outside of the tutoring sessions.
