I am an experienced musician and passionate educator with a first-class degree in Music from Royal Holloway, University of London, and I am studying a Master’s in Musicology from the University of Oxford. During my youth I achieved a Grade 9 in Music Edexcel GCSE and an A* in Music A-Level. I have achieved both an ARSM and an LTCL flute diploma. With a strong academic and performance background, I am well-equipped to guide students studying GCSE and A-Level Music, as well as those preparing for university applications in music and related fields.
My academic journey has been enriched by a focus on ethnomusicology and cultural studies, where I have explored the relationship between music, heritage, and society. This interdisciplinary focus allows me to provide students with a deeper understanding of music's cultural and historical contexts, enriching their learning experience.
My experience spans leadership roles, such as directing my undergraduate university’s chamber orchestra, mentoring young musicians with the National Children’s Orchestra, and working with professional ensembles like the London Mozart Players. These roles have sharpened my communication skills and ability to inspire confidence in students of all abilities.
As a scholar and performer, I can provide in-depth guidance on music history, essay writing and performance technique. My understanding of university application processes—such as writing personal statements, audition preparation, and interview techniques—allows me to offer tailored advice to help students stand out.
I take pride in creating an engaging, supportive environment where students can develop their skills, explore their creativity, and achieve their academic and musical goals. My aim is to nurture confidence and foster discipline.
