I am a qualified maths teacher with 8 years experience in planning and delivering lessons, adapting lessons to suit the needs of learners. I went in to teaching straight from university having achieved a bachelor of science degree in mathematics, then completing a teaching degree where I achieved a PGCE qualified teacher status.

I like to think I am enthusiastic and like to engage my students. I always aim to challenge learners by involving problem solving questions involving multiple mathematical topics.
I plan lessons based on my students areas for development and I set additional homework to monitor progress and plan subsequent lessons. I have a variety of teaching techniques and I like to use different methods in order to solve mathematical problems, constantly making students aware of how different mathematical skills are widely used in varied topics.

I have tutored on a one to one basis for the past three years and it amazes me how much more progress pupils make with a tutor in comparison to being in a group setting such as a classroom. I also find my pupils confidence in maths grows whilst having a tutor.

I am very familiar with a variety of different exam boards such as Edexcel, OCR and AQA.

I am available most weeknights and weekends. I offer tutoring from my house Atherton / Manchester or online via zoom. I can also offer tutoring from your house, if preferred, at an extra cost.
