My lessons will begin with a variety of methods used. Such as videos, graphs and voice recordings of literature passages. Once I know the style the student learns from best I will continue to use it throughout future lessons. During the lessons I aim to build a positive relationship with the child to enable them to enjoy the tutoring experience. The content will be based on the stage the child is at. It will also be in accordance to the national curriculum stage they are at. For primary children I focus on making lessons full of bright colours, pictures and play activities. I provide information in short segments so that it provides the child the opportunity to gain understanding. I can also provide tutoring to children 11-16. Within these lessons I ensure to provide information in eye catching formats such as brightly coloured mind maps. Throughout my lessons I will ask the student if they feel like they have learned anything. If not or they found anything challenging I will ask them to explain. Then I will review future lesson plans and adjust to suit the student. I have always had a passion for English which developed further while completing my GCSE in Englidh language and literature. I have experience working with children aged 8 weeks to 11 years old. I worked within a day nursery setting and taught children basic English skills using play activities. I worked within a primary school setting and provided support to various age groups. I then went on to gain a degree in education, learning and development.
