Hisham Khatib

I am an Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at Imperial College London. I completed IB in 2023 with a score of 42/45, having achieved a 7 in Physics HL, Math AA HL and Economics HL. I completed 11 IGCSEs and received 9 A*s and 2 As. I have tutored at school for about 4 years, teaching maths and physics. I completed many internships, most notably at the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) Jordan, where I assisted in managing the electric grid, and at Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME), a particle accelerator facility where I co-published a paper. My tutoring style includes, first and foremost, the solidification of understanding through examples done on the spot and reviewed, and then, the completion of past papers. We will discuss and improve exam techniques. When going into an IB or IGCSE exam, your ability to answer questions in a specific manner plays a large role in your final grade. I will also give other general advice on more revision that can be done. After completing this, I will be grading past papers and giving further feedback to further improve performance at the later stages. I will be using my own notes and notes provided by your educational institution, just in case there are any discrepancies, to make sure I am teaching the required material (in case the exam board is different, etc.) I can also help with UK and US university applications, grading personal statements, and helping choose universities based on qualifications.
