I have taught English from basic to advanced-level proficiencies from my time in school where I was a member of the Leadership Academy and a Peer Mentor, to present day where I personally and informally teach basic levels of the English Language to non-British children, adults and the elderly. Having been born in the UK and deriving from Pakistani family origins, I have had the pleasure and advantage of being exposed to those who struggle with English, and this has given me the experiential platform that I will use to the benefit of my students. I have achieved A-grade GCSE's in English Language and English Literature, and have a proven ability to understand, converse and utilise English to a high standard, even during my Criminology and Psychology degree at university.

A key focus of mine is the power of environment. Whilst learning English with me, you will learn how to construct sentences, improve vocabulary, use grammar effectively and write reflectively, as these skills will prepare you both professionally and personally in life/later life. I will also do all I can to equip you with the key mental aspect of learning English, or any other language, which is confidence. The confidence to try and fail, the confidence to then respond to that failure and the confidence to pass on that which you have learned.

Lessons will be tailored to you as the learner, if you work better visually we will use visual tools to aid you in your learning as well as exploring options that you respond better to. The same goes for if you prefer to work in short bursts rather than prolonged sessions. I need you to be comfortable and happy in your learning environment if we are both to achieve the goal of helping you learn English, whether as a foreign language or otherwise!
