Have you even seen the patterns between the stairs at your house.
They follow some pattern, that pattern is followed by Maths concept Arithmetic progression.

In maths,
An arithmetic progression (AP) is a sequence where the differences between every two consecutive terms are the same.
Eg
Here,
4 - 2 = 2
6 - 4 = 2
8 - 6 = 2
Thus, the difference is same in the arithmetic progression.
