I am a student currently pursuing my Master's in Modern Languages, Literature and Culture at King's College London. I have taught English (albeit not professionally) as a volunteer for five years. I find the prescriptivity that entails the English language pedagogy highly restrictive. However, I believe films and documentaries possess the essence of a language, and I strive to teach through that lens of creativity; it makes the process of learning a language exciting and entertaining. Intertwined with conventional teaching methods, audiovisual stimulation further helps one fathom the subtleties of a language (which is often felt as a burden to most language learners) in a rather engaging manner. Apart from English, I am proficient in Hindi, Urdu and Malayalam. Previously, I have been a content writer for NGOs and companies in the A.I. industry. I have taught Psychology and English Literature to high school students as well.
