I structure all of my lessons so that the complete beginner or the more advanced composer or producer can learn something new. My approach differs from other in that I apply a prescriptive approach to learning new topics and then guide students on deviating from those norms once they are more advanced. Creating deep connections between all taught concepts and starting with a top-down approach to learning are the core principles of my teaching method, and doing so helps the student form a holistic understanding of the composition and production process while avoiding the "why am i learning this?" dilemma.

My experience as a professional composer and BMus in music composition from London College of Music gives me insight into how professional composers and producers work, and I'm able to distil complex information into small, easy to digest groups that bolsters a greater understanding of composition and production as a whole.

I teach DAW proficiency and music production techniques along with music theory and composition. Understanding how to utilize your music creation tools is crucial for a working music professional. As a composer, hiring live musicians to perform your work is time consuming and expensive, learning how to utilize software instruments, creating amazing mock-ups, and working with is mandatory for working in the music industry. I currently teach Cubase, of which I have over 9 years of experience using professionally.
