Being someone that has recently graduated high school, I closely understand the struggles that students can go through on a day to day basis in their academic pursuits. My job as a tutor is then obviously to remove these struggles and give the students a different perspective on learning and help them to find joy in their subject so they can be motivated in the future to study and learn on their own.
My methods of teaching stem from my own experience of the ways in which I was taught, what I saw to be effective for myself and also for my peers. One thing that was massively helpful for me was being taught by individuals who have genuine passion and interest in the subject matter. This is something that I certainly possess with economics and thus I am completely unbothered and non judgemental if one of my students is struggling because I want to see them succeed, first off. But, I also know how rewarding and interesting the subject can be once you grasp the fundamental concepts.
Furthermore, I am not the kind of tutor that uses excessive handouts or power points which on many occasions can completely fatigue the student. I adopt a much more interactive and personal approach to teaching. Focused in depth conversations with the student and painting mental images with them about certain topics to improve understanding is something that is at the heart of my approach. I thoroughly look forward to supporting your son/daughter on their academic journey.
