I have experience in being a teaching assistant for primary school children, as I have taught at 4 different primary schools. I really enjoyed English Language and literature in secondary school, getting a Grade 5 in Language and a Grade 6 in literature. I enjoyed English Language so much that I went on to do it as one of my subjects for A-Levels and gain a university degree in it. I like to use presentations, but also I find that repeating the content in two or three different ways, using mini tasks, helps to cement the knowledge in the student's brain.

I am passionate, friendly and patient. I know learning takes time, and I think it's so important to help students become more interested in their subjects. Getting a great grade is fantastic, but I want you to actually ENJOY learning too!

I use a mixture of talking through the content and setting tasks for the students to complete to ensure they understand the content.

Working to our strengths is so important, so I want to first gain an understanding of your strengths within the subject, and also learn if there is a particular way you learn best. Are you more of a visual learner? Do you need to hear an explanation of something multiple times? I'll work with you to find out what style of learning suits you best, then we can tailor our tutoring sessions to suit your needs.

I know how hard learning can be sometimes, and I am more than happy to explain something as many times as I need to until you understand it. Sometimes learning takes a while—and that's ok!
