I am currently completing a PhD in psychology following completion of my psychology undergraduate degree and psychology A level. I have been tutoring psychology for two years, helping students, of all abilities, achieve their goals. My one-to-one lessons are totally based around the needs of the student, whether that’s learning new content, revising previously learned content or learning how to structure essays and short answers. I am always happy to change the direction of the lesson if the student would like to focus on a potential weakness or if I spot a potential area for improvement. I love to use PowerPoints in my lessons to keep them engaging, teaching in a way that benefits both verbal and visual learners. I provide worksheets to students that I work through with them in the class which are not only useful for learning content in the lessons but are also a valuable tool when it comes to revising - meaning students have the key information accessible and organised. I will provide a range of practice questions followed by personalised feedback and suggestions for improvement on completion. I believe this method of revising content in the key to success. My main aim is to help students feel confident in their abilities and allow them to reach their full potential in achieving their desired goals in their psychology A Level.
