Helen Fletcher

I have a joint honours degree from the University of Northumbria where I was a student from A postgraduate qualification in European Business Administration and I obtained my teaching degree from Leeds University in 2010. I also hold a GCSE in Italian which I completed in a year.

I have 15 years experience of teaching and use a range of resources to deliver my lessons. I have a proven track record of excellent exam results. I have previously worked at two different secondary schools - one in Rochdale where I spent the first five years of my teaching career and secondly, a school in Oldham where I have been based since 2016. I am passionate about what I do and love sharing my joy and knowledge of learning languages with others.

When teaching, I ensure that I dedicate time to ensure students understand the basics of grammar which underpins the language. I am incredibly patient and am confident in my ability to explain different key points of learning a language. I am happy to teach all age ranges and levels but would prefer to deliver my lessons face to face. I am able to teach both French and Spanish something I have done for since the start of my career as a teacher. Within the lessons I deliver, we will practise all four key skills - reading, writing, speaking and listening.

I have a great relationship with the wonderful students I teach which helps me to maximise their potential.
