I am retired teacher with 30+ years of classroom experience. I have taught in both Secondary and Primary settings. My most famous pupil from Secondary School is Mo Farrar. Since retiring, I have been home tutoring for 3 years. I have supported students, who attend school, with their learning needs, preparation for entrance examinations, GCSE and A level additional suppport. Also, I have taught home schooled students all of the content for English Literature GCSE, Maths GCSE and Biology GCSE. My experience is broad and varied.


Online I connect using Zoom. My lessons are generally a mix of input via a PowerPoint presentation, discussion or Q&A to check understanding followed by a task or series of questions based on the work. Where paper copies are required e.g. graph work I email these in advance for the student to print. With younger students i like to incorporate games that consolidate their learning. Each session is tailored to suit the individual student. My aim is to motivate and inspire. Learning should be a pleasure not a chore.
