I like my writing sessions to be relaxed, nourishing and safe, where all students can grow in confidence, and learn to actually *enjoy* writing, as well as establish the skills they need. With over a decade's experience teaching writing across the U.K. and internationally - working with adults, young adults, and children - I have a great deal of resources and tools to help you improve your writing abilities - whether this is adding more flavour to your creative work, getting to grips with sentences structure and grammar, or very simple things like gaining more confidence in your spelling! I’m here to guide and assist you, whatever level you’re working at.

I work for Writing West Midlands, Writing East Midlands, N.A.W.E. Poetry International, The Poetry Society, The Poetry School, Birmingham University, Loughborough University, BCU, and many others. I was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters in December 2023 from Loughborough University for my commitment to work in Creative Writing and Social Inclusivity.

I am also a qualified Creative Practitioner, a BA (Hons) graduate of Creative & Professional Writing, and a recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Letters from Loughborough University (2023) for my outstanding commitment to Creative Writing and work in Social Inclusivity.
