I have an undergraduate degree in French and Spanish and had the opportunity to spend time in France, Spain and Peru, allowing me to develop fluency in both written and spoken French, in addition to a deep understanding of language and culture. This allows me to design engaging and effective lessons tailored to the individual needs of my students. I am committed to providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the language that goes beyond basic vocabulary and grammar.

I enjoy using a mix of teaching mediums from grammar exercise, role plays, music, television and news to place language learning into modern day and real life contexts which allow students to develop both their language competencies and expand their cultural knowledge.

As a tutor, I believe in creating a personalised approach for each student, tailoring the curriculum to their specific needs and interests. I believe that learning and language should be an engaging and enjoyable experience, and I strive to build rapport with my students, creating a positive and supportive learning environment for my students where they feel empowered to take risks and make mistakes.

In my roles as teaching assistant and tutor, I have had the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds, age groups and skill levels. My ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner has helped many of my students to develop their language skills. As a native English speaker, I also understand the unique challenges that students often face when learning a foreign language, and I am committed to providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed.
