I will work off of your personal goals for learning English so we will have lesson 1 as a "get to know each other lesson" which will make us more comfortable with each other and I will communicate with you your preferred method of corrections and if you do not know then we can try many types. My lessons will have a very personal feel as I find it fun to create materials and fun games we can try to use new grammar or vocabulary you are learning.
I have just finished my Korean TESOL & Linguistics degree at York St Johns University which taught me many styles of teaching that I actively switch between for whichever I feel is most efficient at that moment. As part of this degree I had the opportunity to live abroad in South Korea for a year where I spent some of that time tutoring four different groups with many different levels I helped the youngest group learn the alphabet since Korean uses another script for their language. For these kids, I taught mostly in Korean (as I am a Korean learner myself) and built them up to basic sentences for the end of our time together. The other groups I taught were able to read and write and were focusing on written and speaking abilities which with the assistance of an English learning book guided them through.
I think that it is always important to see from the student's perspective and as a learner of a difficult foreign language I am able to do that and I hope that aids in our classes!
