I have been tutoring for 2 years now and my methods I have used have been very successful seeing students reach beyond their expected grades in their results, including SATS, GCSE and A-Level. I believe that the student should always be proactive in the lesson so I will consistently ask them questions even when explaining content to keep them on their toes. I feel repeatedly doing questions and identifying mistakes is the best way to succeed rather assuming the student understands without doing anything practical. I will always be working from the desired exam board/content expected to be used making sure everything needed for an exam will be covered. As I recently sat exams I understand the high pressure environment and the new format of exams as I was one of the first years to do it so I will constantly give my students tips and tricks when it does come up to exam time and during the exam to be focused and relaxed. I have a passion for maths hence why I am up-taking it as a degree and I strongly believe any student can achieve any grade they want as long as enough work is put in, I enjoy helping others succeed and enjoy teaching maths in general.
