I've been speaking English as my second language since childhood. I learned more through talking to people (in English) about things that interest me than any book or classes I've ever been through. I have no professional experience in teaching but I do know how to speak the language inside out which got me a 7.5 IELTS score (without any training) and admission into Brunel University London (Master's Degree) at the age of 20. I believe it happened because of constantly failing, reflecting and not making the same mistake twice when learning a language. This also taught me about understanding mistakes of others, how it can affect their confidence especially when it's a foreign language and help them improve in the future which can result in a boost of confidence, skills and overall, a master on their language skills.
The way I like to teach is by having conversations about things that interest my students. It could be anything from understanding a concept to talking about a movie, seasoned with light hearted humour and maintaining a playful environment during the sessions.
