Hello! I'm Harsh - a current Year 13 student studying A-Level Chemistry, Maths and Art & Design - and I hope to my goal is to empower you with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in facing the AQA A-Level Chemistry curriculum.
I aim to first build an understanding of content, extracting information from the AQA specification to create the initial confidence needed for understanding and deciphering questions by going through examples, key definitions and so on. These small steps will help build initial confidence, creating a supportive and engaging environment where you'll feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes - as I firmly believe making mistakes is key to learning and there's no such thing as a silly question.
For harder content, I also try to bring a sense of humour - whether this be through memes or silly catchphrases - as I find that inside jokes are incredibly useful to learning. Regardless, I will display patience and respect your learning speed whilst simultaneously pushing you to be better than the previous session(s).
Once comfortable with content, I prioritize exam practice via. a large bank of questions. As many students realise, simply understanding will not suffice due to picky mark schemes thus I aim to spend most of our time practicing, as we nit-pick mark schemes to spot common trends to notice - a easy method to get easy marks - whilst breaking down questions and explaining if necessary. Whilst doing these questions, I aim to give regular feedback and can discuss further enquiries.
Overall, I hope to make AQA AS Chemistry accessible to everybody and relieve stress from class tests or mock exams, whilst maintaining positive relations and getting you top grades for your university admissions.
Outside of college, I enjoy volunteering at my local youth charity where I have previously organised events promoting the Hindu faith and various trips, building positive relations with those aged 13-25 (and those with autism and downs syndrome too) as we conversate in media like anime.
