My name is Harry Hawker, I am 15 years old and I study AQA Chemistry at King Edward VI Grammar school, I am taking it for A level and it is one of my favourite subjects. Our lessons often involve practicals and tests, according to the AQA specification. I would like to help other students feel more confident with Chemistry as I used to find it very challenging, and I was given help by a tutor and it improved my chemistry ability tenfold. I am looking forward to taking this subject for A level and I would like to be a doctor when I am older. I enjoy learning about all topics of chemistry, especially biochemistry and the study of the atom. I can commute, meet in a library or work with you at my home. To reiterate my earlier point that I struggled with chemistry, that is a big understatement. I was achieving grade 4’s and 5’s in most tests. I put in a lot of effort and became a consistent grade 9 student. It took a lot of work and time but was most definitely worth it in the end, it has also made me enjoy chemistry much more. Understanding what you’re learning is vital for being engaged and focused in lessons, and leads to less detentions as well! Please feel free to contact me if you need any kind of help with any chemistry topic, whether you are interested in doing one-off session or a consistent, weekly meeting.
