Hello Students (or parents of Students)! I’m Harry. If I had to describe my teaching in four words it would be "engaging", "memorable", and "outcome effective".
Academic Background:
I have a Bachelor of Science with Honours Degree in Psychology and I’m also currently doing my Master’s Degree at the University of Manchester.
Teaching experience:
My previous experience of teaching has mainly been within the classroom teaching A-Level Psychology rather than tutoring. But I have found, that the differences between tutoring lessons and classroom lessons aren’t that much different.
Marking experience:
I have marked many exam papers in my time teaching AQA A-Level Psychology. One of the things I like to teach, is ‘thinking like the examiner’.
Teaching style:
My teaching style is very flexible and dependent on the topic within the psychology being studied. I always try to incorporate some fun into my lessons while trying my best to make sure what I’m teaching sticks within memory using practical approaches and evidence-based psychology. I currently work as an Assistant Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), so I’m very familiar with personalized education and reducing the barriers to learning.
Specification experience:
The majority of my experience has been teaching the AQA specification. However, I am willing to adapt if necessary.
