Hi, I’m Harry. I’m a science and maths tutor and recent Oxford Chemistry graduate with eight years of teaching experience. I offer engaging sessions in GCSE science and maths, A-level Chemistry, and university application support. Having worked with a wide range of learners and with extensive experience in SEND tuition, my classes are carefully tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles.
Alongside creating fun and supportive learning environments, I am meticulous in ensuring my students have a comprehensive understanding of the syllabus and exam technique come their examinations. Recent success stories of which I am particularly proud include three A-level Chemistry students who improved their grades from predictions of C to final results of A*, and a GCSE Maths student who increased her marks from 4 to 8.
Alongside my degree, I achieved 5A* at A-level and 10A* at GCSE. As a result, I have an excellent understanding of the best approaches to GCSE and A-level examinations.
Selected testimonials:
“Harry is extremely knowledgeable in the subject and has a manner of teaching that puts the students at ease and ensures they are engaged and learning. His time keeping is excellent and his character is impeccable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Harry as a tutor.” - Jane, previous client
“Harry is really passionate about chemistry and that ends up rubbing off on you. I didn’t like the subject before we started tutoring sessions but by the end of Year 12 I really started to enjoy it. He is also incredibly patient and good at seeing what the thing is you don’t understand. I then ended up applying to study biochemistry at university and received an A* in my Chemistry A-level.” - Daniel, previous student
