First of all Im Harrison, I have completed my A-level maths course this year, and I am here to help you with your mathematical knowledge in order to pass they key exams. I range from 11+ all the way up to GCSE tutoring.
My past experience, is working within The North Halifax Grammar School as an in school tutor to the students ranging from year 8 to year 11. Over the past two years I have tutored 7 students, including 4 who have finished their GCSE’s. Out of the 4 students I tutored over the 2 years, 75% got grade 7-9 with the other 25% getting grade 6’s. I haven’t had much experience tutoring at the 11+ level, other than when I went to tutoring. However, with the knowledge I have, I would be able to bring everything your child needs to know and more, ensuring they are not only ready for the 11+ but are ready for their first years of secondary school.
My tutoring sessions last one hour, where I will help with any maths struggles, increase and embed the knowledge needed and try my best to bring a bit of fun to revising maths. My lessons normally include a wide range of methods of teaching from, timed exam questions, knowledge based questions, small fun activities and many more. Which all help towards gaining your child the tools he/she needs to smash their maths at school. The lessons are adapted based on the age, the skill level and most importantly are adapted to the ways your child more effectively learns.
