My approach to lessons is very flexible. I have experience working students towards graded exams, as well as offering very casual lessons for those just hoping to learn some of their favourite songs.

My lessons include the session content typed up in a clear, professional format so students can easily practice the content covered.

My experience as a tutor started after graduating from BIMM London having studied popular music performance with a focus on guitar. I have since been teaching both privately and at a music school, offering mostly guitar and music theory lessons.

As a performer I play lead guitar in one of the UK's top award winning function bands, and have played some huge events around the country.

I'm extremely comfortable teaching both electric and acoustic guitar, as well as music theory.

My favourite artists to study in my free time are: Julian Lage, Chet Atkins, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Robinson and many others... I like to study a range of styles as my performance work is a mix of pop/rock, jazz and acoustic. Currently my personal practice is focused on a travis picking style of playing. I've recently become a big fan of this style of playing and would love to master a range of Merle Travis, Chet Atkins style songs. As a listener I'm also a big fan of Jeff Buckley, Paramore, Led Zeppelin and Taylor Swift, a real range of styles.
