Hi I'm Harriet, I am currently a student and have a fond interest for making those diffcult academic subjects fun and easier to understand! Within my tutorial sessions, I will be creating a fun and easy learning environment for all children ,especially neurodivergent children. I will involve personalized learning plans that assess the child's needs and set flexible goals, which they are comfortable with. Within my experience in school and teaching, I found interactive activities, including hands-on projects, visual aids, and auditory tools, enhance engagement and improve memory for the student. Ensuring a structured yet flexible environment within my tutorial session, this will include positive reinforcement within the subject, a rewards goal system which I would maintain and discuss with the parent and child, and this maintains consistent praise therefore boosting motivation to work towards you specific goal. I engage my students through homework externally from our sessions and improvising real life senarios to simplify a big topic. My adapted teaching methods are simplified yet effective, I have had a younger sister who struggles with neurodivergence and I am very proud to see her to go to a Russell Group University - I helped with learning techinques and explaining the more diffcult academic concepts. This learning process starts young and I want to ensure habits/ good practice for children; to develop them further academically! I do insist on catering to various learning styles, while a sensory-friendly environment online which minimizes distractions. Happy to have communciation with parental figures seperately too to secure a well-rounded view of the child's learning! Alongside my tutorial sessions, I ask for 1 minute mindfulness exercise or relaxation technique at the end of session, to further support a holistic and effective learning experience - but it can be discussed; my aim is to make the tutorial session fun, educational and child-friendly - wanting the child to view the subject more positively! Any questions feel free to message me! X
