In a typical online session I would go over an outline of the content to begin with so i can grasp your level of understanding, from there I would have a better idea of what parts aren't clicking in order for you to be confident in the full picture. I believe strongly in visual learning, so we would go over the content again as a step by step process, and I'll use whiteboard diagrams to help you piece everything together. After having gone over the content, you will be able to put my teaching into your own words, and we can create your own way of remembering it, ensuring it sticks in your long-term memory. After that, as long as you feel confident in your understanding, we can go over some example exam questions and how they could be tackled. As a student, I really struggled with finding the right phrasing for my answers even if I understood the content. Now I've learned that in detail step by step explanations really benefit my understanding, and when I do ny own revision I can take that into consideration. Your learning is about how you best take in information, and the best way to improve your exam scores is to begin to understand what works for you and how you can adapt your learning to be the best use of your time. Spending longer on many different topics won't help as much as spending however long you need to to become really confident in a specific area, once something makes sense everything follows and I'm here to help with that, we can find what works for you.
