My lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to meet each student's unique goals and needs. I begin with an initial consultation to understand your strengths, challenges, and aspirations, allowing me to customise each session. A typical lesson is structured in three parts: a brief review of previous material, introduction of new concepts, and hands-on practice to reinforce learning. This format allows students to build on their knowledge while gaining confidence.
My approach is centred on active participation and personalised content. I draw on real-world examples and relate them to students' interests, creating a relatable and engaging experience. My experience volunteering with children with special needs including Autism, Down Syndrome and Tourette Syndrome has been invaluable in shaping my teaching style. It taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and empathy. I’ve learned to adjust my methods to suit varied learning paces and styles, ensuring every student feels supported and valued. I apply these same principles to all my lessons, fostering an inclusive and encouraging environment.
Throughout each session, I provide constructive feedback, celebrating progress and identifying areas for improvement. Together, we track growth over time, helping students visualise their achievements. I’m committed to creating a positive and productive space for learning, where students feel empowered to take on new challenges and reach their full potential.
