I will most likely try to follow each students respective exam board and their curriculum while incorporating my own way of teaching the student into the lessons. The students may contact me for specific problems, understanding topics or direct exam question prep. I will generally make sure all 3 are covered throughout my teaching. That is what i have done in the past when I tutored. I would like to use the 1st lesson to see what the students have done
so far by asking them what they have done and how far they are in their school curriculum. While asking them what topics they are confident on and not so confident on. If in person, I will draw diagrams, write down equations and break down the problems verbally while doing so on paper or a whiteboard. Actively taking questions as we move through content while moving through a text book or I will draw up some questions for the topic and see how they do. If online, I will share my screen and draw diagrams or even have some presentations set up to help explain concepts and teach content while narrating over it while actively taking questions. If the student wishes for me to help on something specific I will tailor the presentation for that. I try to make the lessons less like a lecture but more dynamic such that it can see more helpful rather than getting another school lesson so each student will get a different format depending on what they need.
