In my lessons, I would like to create an atmosphere where the student-teacher relationship is more relaxed than in a traditional classroom, although of course I do maintain respectfulness with all my students, which I would expect back. I like my lessons to be interactive i.e. it’s not just me droning on and on, with me not knowing if you has fully comprehended and understood the topic at hand. I like to sprinkle some trick questions and intentional mistakes here and there in my lessons, just to keep the student on their toes, and to see if they really have grasped the topic and are not just nodding along, so watch out for them! I of course will admit where I have made an honest mistake, and would be delighted if you pointed them out to me, as this again shows your understanding and will help me get a better sense of where you are at in terms of understanding, although I will try my best to be as mistake-free as possible (as long as they’re not intentional). I will teach in a way that covers many avenues and routes to answering a question, so that you have many backups to rely on should a difficult question propose itself to you. Having 8s and 9s in my GCSEs gives me the authority in my opinion to say that I know what I am doing, so I look forward to seeing you and helping you reach your goals!
