I can teach English Literature up to GCSE level, and I am very passionate about ensuring that students don't just learn the content, but really understand it too, by developing skills that will continue to help them beyond GCSEs. My lessons will centre around targeting specific areas that are weak. I can adapt lessons to any needs and respond to both specific queries and wider areas. For example, if contextual information was a weaker area I teach information that is directly relevant, work on collaboratively planning with the student how to integrate this into essays, and aid in creating revision resources. In order to build skills rather than relying on rote learning, lessons will involve challenging questions and building analytical skills through applying knowledge, rather than learning analysis off by heart.
