Having completed an intense tutoring internship in Bordeaux last year, I have ample experience in delivering French and English tutoring to students of all ages and abilities. I also have a degree in French and English from the Russell group University of Nottingham, for which I obtained the Special Award of Distinction in Spoken French, and a first class honours in my English dissertation.
For my French lessons, I tailor the content directly to the needs of the student. This may range from teaching the very basics of the grammar, to helping with specific homework tasks, to developing intermediate-advanced conversation and writing skills. Having worked and lived in France, alongside my university education in French, I would love to pass on my love for the language, and knowledge of how to successfully master it as a non-native speaker. My early exposure to the sounds and rhythms of French, being of French heritage, also gifted me a native-like accent, something that I deem beneficial when teaching others.
The same applies to my English tutoring: I am not only able to offer support for those learning English as a second language, but also for those studying English as a subject at university. Writing has always been my forte. When I was in high school I completed an AS Level 2 years early in Creative Writing. The study of English is a passion that I have never abandoned; I have a strong knowledge of literature and grammar, and now work part-time in the libraries - being surrounded by books is, to me, the happiest place to be.
With the combination of my education and background, I am a great candidate to help you in your search for an English or French tutor.
I hope to hear from you soon,
Hannah :)
